It’s definitely not one of those books where you can guess the ending.
It’s definitely for the older end of YA spectrum and could be tough for some adults. Should have known there was a reason this book was free for Kindle – sometimes you get what you don’t pay f Who is giving this book so many 4 and 5 star review here and on Amazon? Where on God’s green earth do I begin? That would truly have been icky. Glad I stumbled across this book! Ok about halfway through the book is when it starts getting really freaky, I’ll spare you the details and just say it involves satanist rituals, SEX rape, and murder.
Kept me up all night Making the sign of the cross and throwing a healthy dose of Holy water around my bed didn’t hurt either. And I kind of liked how she was the one who kept wanting sex, only to be turned down.
This is just not a subject for me. I loved the amount of detail and research that went into the portrayal of the religious group and satanic cult. This is a very very mature YA-Adults only story. The ending was everything I was hoping for by the time I got there and very satisfying.
The whole meant-to-be relationship thing took a bit long for Title: If you are in need of that type of book, check it out. Both are strong, intriguing, and have great chemistry. The stakes are suddenly ratcheted up ten levels and much craziness ensues. Then Jason races into her life. Apparently part of a series it was actually pretty good if you don’t mind a dark read. But I forgot all about that when hotty mchotterton came over and save the day.
Breathless (Jason and Azazel, #1) by V.J. Chambers
Azazel was funny and adventurous, her boyfriend, Toby, was kind of a wuss, and at times a dick, but that was okay because Jason was sweet and f Honestly, I don’t know what to think of this book. What she doesn’t know is that Jason’s secrets are entwined with her own town’s secrets.
Azazel was made for him. When Jason races into Azazel’s life, he’s a delicious puzzle she can’t solve.
I liked the weird twists and turns the story took and I thought the basic premise was interesting. Here’s my description v.jchambers this book. And once she slowed down enough Ok, in the first chapter I pretty much hated Azazel.

Lists with This Book. The SciFi, if you want to call it that, is what truly affects my rating. Sep 18, Kelly rated it did not like it. I can not think that any one in real life would be that stupid Plus, she whined a lot. A friend recommended this book to v.h.chambers, and I asked her, is it cheesy?
V.j.chambrrs friends and family die, she has sex with the guy that killed him. I know that I have the power of the blood on me and I have no need to be afraid.
The author failed to make me really v.j.chqmbers about her characters and what they were going through. She’s determined to uncover the secrets that haunt him breathleas soon finds that their lives are intertwined in a horrifying plot between a violent religious order and a satanic cult.
I was raised Roman Catholic I am now a recovering Catholic At the end, the story merges the two characters, so-to-speak, and it starts to become about them together, and the alleged power they wield when they are together.
So when a guy comes darting out of the woods like a mad man, as though someone were chasing him, well that’s just about the most exciting thing she could imagine. A near perfect breatuless with a seemingly perfect life.
Problem is she’s so obsessed with Jason and frankly just so oblivious that even when it is really obvious that she should v.j.chambees paying attention and asking questions — well, she’s not.
View all 7 comments. Azazel is drawn to him. I gave this a 4 instead of 5 because of pacing really. Jason’s longing for normality is understandable, but Azazel?
I think there a few horror movies out there like that.
